Reservations and Service Preferred Agent - Seasonal

Description of Duties:

- Provide efficient and friendly service to internal and external guests while adhering to Preferred Standards
- Offer and describe a variety of room types and packages to written and verbal inquiries
- Maximize hotel revenue and occupancy by upselling room types and promotions to guests
- Sell the Hotel Grand Pacific as an accommodation and the city of Victoria as a destination
- Dispatch guest requests within the hotel in a timely manner
- Take down and ring in room service orders accurately
 
Required Qualifications:
- Previous reservations or sales experience
- Ability to multitask and deal with high workload in a fast-paced environment, including but not limited to handling high volume of calls with a clear and friendly manner
- Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM
- Effective and professional oral and written communication skills in English
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Current experience with Micros Opera PMS considered an asset
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Proactive in anticipating and meeting guest needs
- Flexible to work all shifts as business levels dictate
