Are you looking to transfer your hotel front desk experience to a 4-star, full-service property? The Hotel Grand Pacific has an additional opening for a Guest Services Agent. A proud member of the Preferred Hotels and Resorts collection, our luxury property is located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour in the heart of the city’s tourist zone. The chosen candidate will use their friendly personality and exceptional customer service skills to help operate an efficient front desk.

Description of Duties:

  • Ensure a pleasant, organized, accurate, and efficient arrival process for guests
  • Maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate
  • Accurately collect and record information
  • Perform accurate and efficient accounting procedures
  • Protect guest privacy and minimize guest inconveniences
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure visitor satisfaction and overall positive experience
  • Adhere to the Hotel’s health and safety policies at al times

 

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • At least 1 year of front desk or reservations experience in a full-service hotel property
  • Previous experience with Opera software preferred
  • Professional, welcoming, enthusiastic, and conscientious attitude
  • Positive and effective verbal & written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven accounting skills (cash transactions)
  • A team player who can stay calm and organized during busy periods
  • Takes initiative to maintain high standards of personal presentation at all times
  • Post-secondary training in Hospitality Management is an asset
  • Second language is an asset
  • Able to work 30+ hours per week
