Are you a health enthusiast and customer service professional looking for a fun, interactive job? Join our team at the Hotel Grand Pacific! We are recruiting a Front Desk Attendant to work in the Victoria Athletic Club. Our club offers first-class facilities and amenities to hotel guests and members, including a swimming pool, squash court, weight room, and fitness studio. As a first point of contact, the Attendant will assist clients with their varied needs and deliver a superior quality of service.

Hours: Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays

This is a permanent position. The number of shifts will range between 15-30 hours per week.

Pay: $18.56/hr to start, increasing to $20.62/hr after 3 months

Description of Duties:

  • Operate an efficient, guest-oriented front desk
  • Provide information to potential new club members
  • Process new memberships and renewals
  • Maintain the membership database
  • Handle and control cash
  • Instruct clients on proper equipment use, including safety techniques
  • Perform daily cleaning duties to maintain health and safety standards

Required Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Basic First Aid, CPR
  • Completion of a Fitness Theory course or equivalent preferred
  • Customer service experience in a gym or health club environment
  • Professional phone manner and clear communication skills
  • Computer literate with excellent data entry skills
  • A high regard for guest safety
  • Available to work day or evening shifts

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 2 years (preferred)
