Assistant Reservations & Revenue Manager

Following a promotion, the Hotel Grand Pacific is seeking a new Assistant Reservations & Revenue Manager. An independent luxury hotel located in Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, we are a proud member of the Preferred Hotels and Resorts collection. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently in a supervisory front desk or reservations role who is looking for a step up in responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help manage a well-planned and organized Reservations & Switchboard department
  • Create strategies to maximize hotel revenues
  • Effectively train and support Agents to maximize occupancy and average daily rate
  • Work cooperatively with Sales, Guest Services & Catering to coordinate accurate tour and group information
  • Assist with staff scheduling and payroll
  • Support the Reservations & Revenue Manager with other administrative and operational tasks as required.

 

Qualifications & Abilities:

  • At least 3 years of experience with hotel reservations
  • At least 1 year of experience with revenue management
  • Previous experience with group bookings and contracts required
  • Experience with extranet/inventory management and rate loading preferred
  • Experience with Opera PMS preferred
  • Previous experience in a union environment an asset
  • Effective problem solver (both guest and employee concerns)
  • Detail oriented with proven multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • A confident leader with demonstrated experience coaching others
  • Typing speed of over 50 wpm
  • Open availability to work at varied shift times
