In terms of conference and hotel facilities, The Hotel Grand Pacific is the best choice in Victoria for a conference size of up to 200 people. Excellent service, first class facilities and dedicated hotel staff. An exceptional chef and staff with first class food and service.

Without hesitation, I will be recommending The Mark for dinner. It was exceptional food and our server was a superb ambassador for the hotel. He is the type of person that I write letters to establishments offering a letter of compliment. I spoke with the Executive Chef, is he ever excited about the Whisky Festival.
In Victoria to attend a wedding on the B.C. Day long weekend, we were hoping to be able to be lucky enough to check-in to the hotel as early as possible in order to be ready in time for the ceremony.
Although at first we were told that because of the busy long-weekend, it would be difficult to allow for early check-in, Tim worked his magic and found a spectacular room available immediatley.
Tim made the day stress-free and incredibly enjoyable as a result of his kindness. We enjoyed the wedding and our stay at the Hotel Grand Pacific immensely.

I attended the C.H.F. annual conference in May '09. I was not a registered guest, but the people you employ sure made me feel like one. I am in a wheelchair and on every occasion of required help your staff wnet far, far, far above and beyond their job description to assist me. The car staff even went to find a bicycle pump for me when I had a low tire. Your staff is the ABSOLUTE BEST I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The city of Victoria is also one the best & prettiest cities to visit I have ever been in.
P.S. I am wondering how Joe (the groundskeeper) is making out with the ducklings he is fostering. All the best Joe...

I am writing to thank you for the outstanding service that our group, the Association for Hose & Accessories (NAHAD) received during our recent meeting (May 18-22, 2007) in Victoria.
From the earliest phases of the meeting, as we negotiated our agreement with you through pre-planning, on-site and follow-up, I found all of the staff and departments of the property to be flawless.
In particular, I would like to thank you for being a very available and handy point of reference for me as I was operating over 3,000 miles away on the eastern seaboard of the United States. I appreciate your willingness to exceed our initial black of sleeping rooms by almost 300%. This flexibility allowed our conference to house many of our attendees in your beautiful property.
Thank you also to your reservations department and conference services. They monitored our block and pick up every week and assisted in placing our guests in the appropriate accommodations - allowing you to maximize the impact of the group business and allowing us to have the second largest block of rooms in the city at your very fine hotel. This was an extremely beneficial arrangement for me, because I could feel confident that any attendee that I sent your way would be bandied with courtesy sad efficiency. Although we had originally intended to house 30 to 45 individuals with you, I believe our final count was over 145 people - a testimony to your superior approach to group business.
The service that I received from your staff was impeccable; turning what could have been a big logistic headache into an extremely easy and successful partnership. I am very grateful!
Concierge, to the housekeepers, to the people at the café, to the attendant at the gym – offered us a unique and delightful blend of graciousness and friendliness. Our accommodations were very comfortable and well appointed, and the ionized pool afforded me, an avid swimmer, an unforgettable exercise session.

I have never contacted a hotel before, but this was an outstanding experience.
In my job I travel the country attending meetings from Charlottetown to Yellowknife. I have stayed in hotels big and small, reasonable and not so reasonable.
I stayed in the Hotel Grand Pacific to attend a meeting in Victoria. I have never had such exceptional treatment from hotel staff or such an enjoyable stay overall. My room was beautifully appointed, extremely clean, not to mention available when I arrived at 8:00 am.
You and your staff are to be commended for going above and beyond for your guests. In particular, I wanted to mention the professionalism of your concierge (who went to the trouble to help me plan my entire weekend, including sight-seeing and a choice of wonderful restaurants) and your doormen.
I overheard one of my fellow meeting participants say that he felt as though we were being treated as royalty.

From our first meeting with the Conference & Catering Manager more than a year and a half ago, to the clean-up crew at the conclusion of the reception, EVERYONE representing the hotel was outstanding.
Our Aunt, who served as our wedding coordinator and has organized receptions at other venues, remarked that the GP's service was incomparable! And of course, the food was fantastic - compliments to the kitchen!

I want to take a moment to recognize an employee who went out of his way to make our visit special. As a locals to Victoria, we often take for granted the beauty of our home and the individuals who work hard to preserve it.
Three days ago, I attended a course at the Grand Pacific hotel. With cut backs to budgets and the 'ecomonic downturn', the fabulous food that is usually provided at these types of courses was not. Slightly sad, my colleaugue and I went outside to sit by the duck pond. There was a groundskeeper named Rron, who was so friendly and inviting, that we were soon engaged in conversation. He was very knowledgeable about the ducks and plants in the surrounding area. He gave us duck food and allowed us to interact with them. It may seem like a simple thing, but he made our day. And he did for the next two days as well. The Grand Pacific is lucky to have employees like this, because they really do create value and the experience. Thank you, Rron.
