 Passport Information
Following are the passport requirements for different modes of travel:
INTERNATIONAL FERRIES / LAND
If you are arriving to Victoria via the Victoria Clipper, Black Ball Ferry - Coho, Victoria Express or Washington State Ferry from Anacortes, you will NOT be required to have a passport until June 2009.
To enter Canada, you will only need to present one of the following:
- Photo Identification and Birth Certificate, or
- Naturalization Certificate, or
- Citizenship Certificate, or
- Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
The same applies if you are entering Canada by car over a land border.
AIR
If you are arriving to Victoria via regular, commercial flight, you will be required to present a valid passport as of January 23, 2007.
