Sales Manager (Tour & SMERF Market)

Description of Duties:

  • To maximize Hotel revenue and customer service goals by negotiating business within the assigned market segments and ensure accuracy throughout the booking process
  • Continually developing and improving standards to ensure the service received is of the highest quality
  • Represent the hotel in a professional manner at industry related events locally & outside of Victoria
  • Achieve targets for prospecting and provide weekly reports for bookings and activities
  • Responsible for creating all proposals and contracts for clients
  • Conduct site inspections of hotel and meet clients, sometimes outside of regular office hours
  • Plan all sales activities as outlined in annual plan, including making appointments with clients and booking all travel arrangements

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of two years experience in hotel sales, high-end property experience preferred.
  • The successful candidite is client focused and able to build strong relationships.
  • Independent worker who is able to effectively manage his or her own time schedule
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the destination preferred

Banquet Server

The Banquet Server is responsible primarily for assisting in serving banquet style functions, duties will also include the set-up and re-set of functions. This person must have good communication skills as well as previous customer service experience. This is a fast paced position that will involve constant customer interaction. Individual must be able to lift moderate weight.

Room Service Server

Description of Duties:

  • Monitors food and beverage quality before service and monitors orders coming out of the kitchen for quality, consistency and presentation as per hotel standards. 
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of food, beverages and wines.
  • Delivers orders following our Service Preferred standards.
  • Monitors condition of all room service menus, minibar price lists, etc.
  • Perform the duty of checking minibars and restocking and billing where necessary.
  • Ensures that the Room Service Station in the Kitchen is clean and set to required standard at all times.

Required Qualifications:

  • Have at least 1 year’s experience in a food service operation.
  • Able to work flexible schedule involving weekends and evenings.
  • Able to handle cash accurately.
  • Able to communicate clearly in English.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the job, including being able to work for the majority of the time standing up and lifting.
  • Prepared to perform any other duties as may reasonably be required by the Outlets Manager or Director of Food & Beverage.
