The annual Hot Competition took place in Vancouver on January 28th when the top culinary talents raced against the clock to deliver an exceptional meal.

July - Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2007
The Wine Spectator has awarded The Mark with an Award of Excellence for the Wine Program. The Wine Spectator's annual Dining Guide receives over one million visitors a month. The Mark joins the Aerie and Sooke Harbour House, among others, in being one of a small number of award winners on Vancouver Island.
June - 4 Diamond AAA/CAA Award
The Hotel Grand Pacific was awarded the prestigious Four Diamond award for a full service Hotel.
April - 5 Star Canada Select Award
The Hotel Grand Pacific was awarded Victoria’s only Five Star Hotel Award under the Canada Select Rating System.

The Hotel Association of Canada's Green Key Eco-Rating Program is a graduated rating system designed to recognize hotels, motels, and resorts that are committed to improving their fiscal and environmental performance.
4 Green Keys are awarded to a hotel that has shown national industry leadership and commitment to protecting the environment through wide ranging policies and practices. The Hotel has mature programs in place that involve management, employees, guests, and the public, and which have shown substantial and measurable results.

The Mark, an intimate and exclusive fine dining room at the Hotel Grand Pacific, received the Four Diamond Restaurant Rating by the American Automobile Association for excellence in service, cuisine, and atmosphere.
May – Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce Employee of the Year
Chef Concierge Scott Wedekind was awarded the Victoria Chamber of Commerce Employee of the Year Award for 2003.
March – Council of Tourism Associations, Tourism Ambassador Award
Chef Concierge Scott Wedekind was chosen as the 2003 Tourism Ambassador for Vancouver Island, Victoria & the Gulf Islands, joining four other chosen Ambassadors from other regions of the Province of British Columbia. When presenting the award to Scott, COTA’s President said, “It is time to celebrate your workplace leadership and dedication to going above and beyond in making BC’s tourism industry what it is today.”

May - Les Clefs D’Or
Chef Concierge Scott Wedekind is awarded his "Gold Keys" from the worldwide concierge association of Les Clefs D'Or.
April - Chaine des Rotisseurs Commis Competition
Second Cook Jens Larsen entered the annual Black Box competition, and was awarded first place for the Victoria Bailliage of the Chaine des Rotisseurs commis chef competition.
2001
December – Preferred Hotels and Resorts Standards of Excellence Award
Membership in Preferred Hotels® & Resorts Worldwide is restricted to independent luxury hotels, resorts and spas. After submitting a detailed application form, and exceeding Preferred’s standards during two unannounced quality assurance inspections, The Hotel Grand Pacific was accepted as a member of Preferred Hotels® & Resorts Worldwide.

November – Tourism Victoria G.E.M. Award
The G.E.M. (Going the Extra Mile) award is normally presented to an individual in the tourism industry in Victoria for continuously surpassing guest expectations. This is the first time the G.E.M. award has been presented to an entire group of employees at any type of tourism related business.
